Brixworth CC vs Isham 1st XI - 28th April 2007
2 defeats from 2 games for the 1st XI means they languish at the foot of Division 1. This time it was Brixworth who handed out the punishment as the firsts, who batted first, slumped to 116 all out, with Shaun Wills top scoring with 22!
The team’s only point of the afternoon came whilst fielding. Opening bowlers Andy Law and Simon Court were proving ineffective. A double change brought on the skipper Wills and Peter Short, who both took a wicket earning Isham a point. Peter Short taking his first ever 1st team wicket in the process.
With several key member of the team still missing, it could be a few weeks yet before the 1st XI start to rise up the table. They face S & L Corby next week. |
